The Junges Hotel has been furnished in a manner that reflects the needs and desires of families: we offer all sorts of opportunities for play and sports – throughout the year and often “right in front of the door”. Our Salzburg hostel is ideally situated between the glacier and the lake in the region Zell am See-Kaprun. This translates to pure nature and a wide range of leisure activities. You and your kids can swim, snorkel and splash in the crystal-clear mountain lake right in front of our hostel. The adjoining surf school teaches prospective surfers everything they have to know about the wind and the waves. Close by, you and your family can go on ship and boat tours or go sailing. Our own sports field with half-pipe welcomes young and old sports fans alike.
Thanks to its location, our hostel also scores points in winter: some of the most beautiful skiing resorts in Salzburg are just a few minutes’ drive away.
What if it rains and storms outside? Simple games such as good old “Ludo” or “Memory” are guaranteed to entertain groups of kids and keep their spirits up.
A word on “Food”
Our approach to food will help you relax: start the day with the included buffet breakfast, which offers everything that young and old alike enjoy. When the weather is nice, why not have breakfast on the terrace with front-row seats looking towards the sparkling emerald green Lake Zell.
In the evening, half-board is available upon request. The kitchen of our youth hostel offers tasty, regional and down-to-earth meals at a low price.
At lunch-time, eat at one of surrounding restaurants or enjoy a snack with your family in your room. A well-stocked super market is just a short walk from the Junges Hotel Zell am See. You are also most welcome to use our picnic area and our barbecue facilities!
